This fits nicely with Eric’s post on teaching evolution. The science cafe is held at a pub and alcohol will be consumed, but figuring most of your students frequent establishments like this with their families, please feel free to invite them. There are several high school students who attend regularly with their grandfather. The site is small and intimate by design to encourage casual discussion. Consequently, please don’t require attendance. More than students, I encourage teachers to attend. Attendance at events like this should count for prof. dev. points, so that may be another motivation to try and attend.
