Bird List from Vogelsberg-Busch Farm

Here’s a list from our birding walk with John Quinn from UNL.  Not too bad for an hour and a half walk in the middle of the afternoon:

tree swallow, barn swallow, white-breasted nuthatch, red-headed woodpecker, chimney swift, goldfinch, robin, cowbird, brown thrasher, crow, house wren, red-eyed vireo, black-capped chickadee, tufted titmouse, ruby-throated hummingbird, red-bellied woodpecker, Baltimore oriole, blue-grey gnatcatcher, common grackle, turkey vulture, dickcissel, eastern kingbird, bluejay, cardinal, indigo bunting, eastern phoebe, rose-breasted grosbeak, catbird, mourning dove, yellow-billed cuckoo, killdeer, grasshopper sparrow, field sparrow, bluebird, lark sparrow, spotted towhee, great-crested flycatcher, house sparrow, starling, pigeon.
